Family Therapy

I have been working with children and families since 2016. Additionally, my specialized training with families and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy has provided success with building confidence in parenting.

  • Do your child’s tantrums leave you feeling overwhelmed?
  • Do you feel stressed with parenting your child?
  • Have you been embarrassed about your child’s behavior in public?
  • Do arguments within your family seem to re-occur?

If any of these topics have crossed your mind, family therapy might be the right fit for your family.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy is an evidence based treatment for young children and works well with children who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. As a Parent-Child Interaction Therapist, I have completed extensive training and am officially certified by PCIT International.

With the use of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, I help you learn specialized skills to improve your relationship with your child, implement discipline strategies that really work, and apply those skills in your home and in public.

When your child’s tantrums feel overwhelming, I help guide and direct you towards confidence in parenting. As a result, I am able to help parents grow closer to their children.

Families begin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for many reasons, including:

  • A need to strengthen the parent-child relationship
  • Difficulty listening or following directions
  • Frequent tantrums or outbursts
  • Difficulty sharing and taking turns
  • Challenges with negative attention-seeking behaviors
